These are a few things that I expect of people advertising and affiliating on my board. It is highly recommended that they be read, otherwise it's very likely that your advertisement will be deleted or your request for affiliation denied.
1. Yes, this section is guest-friendly, and I expect the same from you: an easy-to-find, guest-friendly advert board.
2. I am not going to post your advertisement here for you. This board is guest-friendly, there's no reason why you can't do it yourself.
3. ONE ADVERTISEMENT THREAD PER SITE. One might think that this would go without saying, but people have been caught double-posting. I am not going to do this to you, so don't do it here.
4. If you would like, you may request that your advert be bumped, or you can come by and update it with news from your roleplay, but only if it's on the second page or at the bottom of the first.
5. Affiliating is very different from advertising; if you want to affiliate with us, then you can follow the guide below. Any thread that does not meet the requirements will be seen as an advertisement, whether our button is up on your site or not.
6. All affiliation requests must have the word "AFFILIATION" somewhere in the subject of the thread. This way staff can tell at a glance if they need to look for certain things.
7. Any site with a good member count can affiliate with us. No dead sites, and for now, no new sites please. New sites affiliating with each other is not really beneficial for either party.
8. Obviously, if you'd like to affiliate with us, you must have our button up somewhere on your site... preferably in a header or footer, not some backwater thread that no one ever sees. It also doesn't count if the button doesn't work. A pretty button that doesn't link back to the site sort of defeats the purpose of an affiliation.
9. I reserve the right to decline affiliation with any site for any reason. If you have a sloppy, poorly-organized advertisement thread, or a hard-to-find or non guest-friendly advert board, don't expect me to accept your request.
10. Uncoded buttons will not be accepted. I'm a lazy person, I refuse to code your buttons for you. Look, mine are already coded, all you have to do is copy and paste. Simple, yes? I expect the same courtesy in return.
11. If I make some attempt to affiliate with you, then I expect to see my site button up within 1 week, or know why not. I understand if you're busy, but I think it's safe to assume people check their affiliations at least once a week.
11b. If my button isn't up, yours will be taken down within one week unless some explanation is offered. If my button is up but doesn't work, your button will be taken down and/or your affiliation request denied.
